Loves sports, and tours the country often with his family.The record number of Utes who have lately decided to become future teachers of America indicates that University students are aware that the opportunities in the teaching profession today are better than ever before. To keep pace with this heavy enrollment, the College of Education has expanded and progressed. New classes in social education, health, recreation, and physical education, as well as professional courses, and a new psychology program, demonstrate that the College of Education intends to send only well trained teachers into the field.Education majors are fortunate in having Stewart school on the Ute campus for practice teaching during their Senior year. Some of the "teachers to be" spend their two quarters of practice teaching in the schools of the city system.Two kindergarten practice teachers help a group of toddlers construct an army tank with wooden blocks.50 |
