Show -161- Feppermuint Monday faced kid. As we turned to the main road out of town, I looked up to the east hills. I wondered what old Jake was doing. I wondered if he knew we were moving. He wouldn't care if he did knew, we hadn't taken Russ. "It's not goodbye, forever, Carly." Ma could see my inner pain. "We'll be back to visit." "Yeah," Jason muttered with a grin. "I want to beat you to Eaton Bridge again." I smiled back and allowed my eyes to skim the steep, winding trail. The last of the spring flowers still paraded their colors. It was the start of a beautiful, Ozark summer. Summer in the Ozarks is really something to see. I knew I'd see it again. |
