English Summary: The different approaches of the sociolinguists before the moral dilemmas which arise in undertaking language researches and facing problems which are not directly linked to language, are here analyzed. Different alternatives of solution are tested, indicating that priorities in linguistic research for Peru cannot be expressed in terms of a pure linguistic analysis but in terms of the investigation of idiomatic policy changes which can be probable within the present social and economic context, of changes in language policy desirable to the people, of possible ramifications of these changes, of more alternate and worthy approaches within this change, etc. Dubly, Alain. English Summary: One thinks erroneously that by learning to write and read, the Indian peasant will become a rational and technified agriculturist, a citizen able to practice his civic rights, a consumer of cultural goods and industry, in a word, a man assimilated to modern society. Nevertheless, the results of this idea applied to functional education for Indian adults, are that they are few who attend the literacy centers, and fewer the ones who make a profit of the things they learned there. One can speak of a more or less round failure, which is few times accepted, in most part,of the experiences. Being partial, the explanations of this fact have only led to small corrections in the methods. It is essential to undertake a more profound study, a larger and radical revision of the guidelines, whose features are sketched here by the author, like a contribution which is presented for specialists' reflection.
