Show 104 Two dangers arise as possible effects of present social changes: increasing manipulation of Indian masses by large business interests or by irresponsible, selfish labor leaders. A true renaissance of the majority of Latin America's Indians would be possible within one generation, without recourse to social revolution, by a combination of 1) planned rural resettlement in newly opened regions, 2) moderate, economically justified industrialization, and 3) promotion of indigenous community education, with emphasis on the practical needs of readjustment to modern requirements. The author emphasizes the aspect of the applied Anthropology and dominates the action of Anthropology with the purpose of coordinating the following aspects: a) the prosperity of the villages subject to the study and b) to develop new acknowledgements. The action of Anthropology does not apply acknowledgements acquired with anteriority to a situation, but to develop the acknowledgement in the same community over the working one converting in the form of a laboratory. Nevertheless, the action of Anthropology should not treat the community, partly separated to the good (wealth) of community, in the same form that a doctor will not utilize the patient having as his principal objective his particular investigation. A group of Anthropologists of action have been working on the reserve of the Fox Indian and Ft. Berthold where they have developed the method and theory of the Anthropology of action. The Editorial talks about several Indo-Iberian countries, and especially in Mexico, where industrial production has increased greatly. This increase has been praised on the one hand and bitterly criticized on the other. It also talks about the recommendation of strengthening of agricultural activities.
