Proyecto 208 (La Paz - Cochabamba, Bolivia)," Anuario Indigenista, XXVI, (December, 1966) pp. 97-123. English Summary: This report on activities of Project 208 of the OAS Technical Cooperation Program in Bolivia, corresponds to the period January-September 1966. Taking into account Hispano America's urgent need for middle and upper segment personnel to properly fulfill the goals of Community Development, the following objectives were recommended in the organization of 1966 Inter-American Course: a) to train scholarship holders in the methods and techniques of community development and organization; b) to give the students a solid grounding in the Social Sciences which will allow them to learn about and better understand the communities where the development program is to be applied as well as the nature and implications of the process, and c) to train the scholarship holders so that, in their respective countries, they can introduce and promote the application of the principles and the utilization of community development methods. The Course lasted nine months, during which time the theoretical- practical training program was completed. There were 19 students from various Latin American countries and 13 professors, three of them staff and the rest considered as Technical Cooperation Personnel. A final examination was given covering all the subjects included in this theoretical period of the course, contributing to an evaluation of the student, also taking into account their attendance, interest, written papers, etc. In brief, it can be said that the 1966 Course, in its first phase, achieved its goals and objectives to the satisfaction of those in charge of field work, of the professors and of the scholarhsip holders.
