Show E. ALAN JEPPSEN: After living in the Philippines, Paris, South America, Hawaii, and Washington, D. C., Alan decided to give up world travel and settle down for his undergraduate work at BYU. Conscientious and unassuming, Alan has done well in medical school. Perhaps he is more well known in the nurses' school, however, where several female acquaintances have questioned his shyness. But through it all, Alan has remained single. After spending several summers working in psychiatry at the Utah State Hospital, Alan has realized the need for his talents and plans on a future in psychiatry. In the meantime, he plans on an internship in the South followed by a term with Uncle. DONALD LEE JOHNSON: Don comes to Salt Lake City from the farm country of Sidney, Nebraska, where he received a degree from the Nebraska State Teachers' College prior to beginning his medical studies. Throughout his training here he has been a conscientious student and friend. However, his studentfaculty relationship was somewhat shaken on a Family Day tour when Dr. Samuels asked him if he would like to go to medical school when he grew up. Don's future plans include a rotating internship and a surgery residency before entering a sma II town practice. 55 |
