Show JAN S. FREEMAN: Jan was born and raised in Fillmore, Utah, a touJist mecca located between Holden, Flowell, and Kanosh. Jan distinguished himself there as an all-state quarterback, and is thought to be the greatest thing to come out of that country since Larry Stevens. Jan went to college at Utah, was our sophomore class preident, and earned a reputation as a conscientious worker and tough touch football player. He was married in 1965 and maintains he's been concentrating on fighting off storks ever since. His summers have been spent with the Department of Surgery studying kidney transplants and hemorragic shock. He has had two papers published and last year, with Dr. Stevens, presented his paper on Studies in Hemorrhagic Shock to the American Federation for Clinical Research. For the future, Jan intends to go into a surgical specialty. LAWRENCE GERRY FREEMAN: "Uncle Skip" describes himself as a poor farm boy who came from out of the dry farm and wheat country of Rockland, Idaho, and entered college at BYU. There he pursued various careers including biochemist, pharmacist, veterinarian and entomologist. Skip pursues females with dedicated fervor and presents the longest line in town with such a disarming manner that results are invariably achieved. Despite the chasing Skip has remained wily and difficult to trap, persisting as a bachelor to this day. Skip settled on medicine as his secondary profession during an LOS mission in Texas. His plans for the future center around dermatology, ophthalmology, radiology or at least something with reasonable houts. He also considers epidemiology or preventive medicine where his long hours of bug catching may stand him in good stead. Skip served as freshman class president and the past four years his good humor and easy going down-to-earth manner have made him many lasting friends. These same attributes will ensure his success. 51 |
