Show DENNIS MICHAEL EDSON: Mike is a commuter from Ogden and, allegedly, has spent several overnight visits in SLC while schooling in medicine. At the tender age of twenty-four, Mike has accomplished an enviable education while his retarded peers have acquired the ills of middle age. He completed his first two years of medical school while featherbedding out of Ogden, and he spent the las1· two years hunting, fishing, and Mustanging about Utah (except for the sixth Tuesday of each month which he set aside for medicine). Mike has been well received by his Salt Lake friends but may become an innocent victim of the law when both Jim Atcheson and Nick try to claim him as a dependent th is year. Mike has been a good friend of many in medicine, in the field, and on the courts. He is everyone's best audience for a good joke and has ·added measurably to our ,enjoyment of the less academic aspects of medical school. His primary interests are in radiology and surgery, and he will serve his internship in Phoenix, providing it isn't too far to commute. HARMON J. EYRE: A native of Escalante who was transplated to Logan and a loyal "Aggie," Harmon set a pace difficult for the older men of the class to match. He was elected to AOA in his junior year and selected as "Outstanding Junior Medical Student." During his senior year he served as class president. These feats were no doubt accomplished by transporting his wife, Julie, and their two children to Logan for months at a time. His summers were spent with Dr. A. M. Schmidt, and during his senior year his advice was often sought by Dr. Tsegaris for interpretation of difficult ECG tracings. After a straight medical internship, Harmon plans a career in academic medicine. 49 |
