Show NORMAN HALL FAWSON: Norm was raised in St. George and came to Utah via Dixie and an LDS mission in Canada. Norm is a quiet fellow whose hidden talent is violin playing. His most ignominious Medical School memory is his LSD binge for Link Clark. Unlike Mike Edson, Norm didn't want more. In University Village, where he lives with his wife, Mary Jane, and their two children, Norm is well known as a member of the bishopric and for his ability to accomplish a great deal with seemingly little effort. His summers have been spent with Dr. Englert where he has become all too familiar with the protein composition of bile. However, he intends to put this aside eventually, for a GP or pediatric practice in a smaller town. ROGER K. FERGUSON: Roger came to medical school with an unusual background. While still in college he took an extensive free-lance trip through Central America and Mexico gathering material for an aborted literary career. He then returned to college, entered medical school with the class of 1965, and was again overcome with the roving instinct, but this time remained locally to do a year of research in pharmacology. He then returned to medical school to finish with this graduating class. A trip to Japan last year seemed not at all unusual to those who knew of Roger's previous peregrinations. Roger's wife, Verna, has admirably doubled as traveling companion to this reincarnated Marco Polo. Roger will do his internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he will be able to pursue clinical pharmacology and perhaps work in a few trips. 50 |
