Show Russell Jacobs 25 November 2009 been up, probably, Timpanogos, forty times It's an annual trek. Lone Peak is now And, um, but every time I go in the mountains, every even 1f 1t' s the same mountain , it's always different. It's always different. You know, and it's Just, even Lone Peak this summer runnmg up early in the season, lots of snow, I wasn't able to make 1t to the summit, but I made it into the cirque. MD: Um-hum. RJ: It was a little bit too sporty to continue on safely, not having, you know. MD: I was there at the end of October And, you know, we JUSt saw snow at the pomt where we got to the cirque up to the summit. And 1t was definitely a little bit, a little bit RJ: You've been up there? That's great. MD: Yeah. A little bit tncky towards the end, getting toward the summit, for sure. Um, but that's a beautiful, definitely a beautiful hike. RJ: Well, I've climbed a lot of those d1hedrals MD: Yeah. Um-huh. RJ: All through there and, uh, I've had some, uh, very, very close encounters with, one in particular, with a huge rainstorm. And we were the only ones in the cirque at the time. We can get to that story MD: Yeah, yeah. [Russell and Matt laugh] We'll be jumping back and forth qmte a bit, I imagine here. Um, so what do you when you say that, you know, you do a hike like Timpanogos or Lone Peak, um, you know, every year and 1t' s different each time, what do you think makes it different each time? 13 |
