Show HISPANIC ARTS ages can dance and where children can learn to participate in the arts of their homelands. From the distinctive Afro-Caribbean cumbias, salsas and merengues to the creolized sounds of Peruvian coastal music, the music of Utah's Latino musicians keep the community in tune with their cultural background. And though musicians periodically regroup and the ñames of bands change, Utah's numerous and active musicians remain central to the identity of Utah's Latin American communities. que se conoce la América Latina en todo el mundo. The arts of Utah's Peruvians reflect the cutlural diversity of their homeland. The high mountians and plateaus are known for Indian influenced music and dance; Peru's capítol city, Lima, is know for its contemporary music and nightlife; and the coastal región features a creolized blend of African, European and Indian influences unique to Perú.
