Show s University of Mlontana ftlissoula, fTlontana 59801 (406) 243-0211 September 10, 1979 Margo and Peter Hovingh 721 2nd Avenue Salt Lake City, Utah 84103 Dear Margo and Peter: Attached are some hasty thoughts "inspired" by reading the "Proposed Rate Adjustment" document of the Western Afe<\Power Administration. They are preliminary but interesting, I think. I would appreciate any comments you or your colleagues have. At the CUP meeting I went to with Margo, a woman asked what it would cost to update my CUP paper. As Margo no doubt noticed, I was very noncommittal because of constraints on my time. Now, however, that I have gotten sucked back into the CUP I seem to be revising bits and pieces anyway. So if we could scratch $1,000 - $2,000, I would be willing to formally revise and enlarge the paper. The thousand dollar gap is tied to whether I would go to the Salt Lake area again and prowl around government offices for additional data as well as visit with you folks to get additional ideas. I have no new ideas on obtaining such money except for my original one that the Audubon people contact Rich Madson [National Audubon Regional Representative Director, Box 1591, JamestoW^,North Dakota, 58401 (701-252-8376)] about obtaining National Audubon or Mellon Foundation funds.
