Show Phylum Coelenterata Class Hydrozoa Hydra viridissima Pallas Hydra sp- _ common on the rocks along the Lincoln Beach area. Phylum Platyhelminthes Class Turbellaria A flatworm is common on the hardpan area off Lincoln Beach. Phylum Nematoda Tanner, 1932, reported that nematodes were present in Utah Lake. Barnes, 1972, has dredged up a few nematodes from the mud- ooze communities at the southern- end of Utah Lake. Phylum Rotifera Keratella cochlearis Branchionus sp. ( 2 forms are present) Platyias quadricornis ( Also, 2 unidentified species) Of the 6 species or forms of rotifers Tanner ( 1932) found in Utah Lake only 4 are present today ( White, 1972). The Keratella and Branchionus make up 90% of the rotifers found in Utah Lake. Phylum Bryozoa Plumatella princeps Phylum Tardigrada Macrobictus sp. No further checks on the tardigrades have been made since Tanner's work in 1932. A- 143 |
