Show Moss, Hampton Ray, Stevenson Walker, Sadler Nebeker, McGean Badger, Cotterell Junior Promenade Ray Owen, Chairman o N Friday evening, February twenty-fourth, five hundred couples walked past the two fantastic dragons which stood at the doors of the Union Building, and they were on the scene of the twenty-eighth annual Junior Prom. Within, those same young ladies forgot temporarily their collegiate sophistication and "oh'd" and "ah'd" at the beauty of the decorations which had been arranged by the Prom Committee, headed by Ray Owen. The ballroom, which was filled with mystic shrines, tinkling bells, and colorful lanterns, fairly exuded oriental charm. The orchestra, dressed in Chinese costume, sat in a pagoda painted and draped in bright red and deep purple. At either end of the room were large Chinese torches. In the adjoining lounges were displayed the crests of the fraternities and sororities. At dinner were presented the long-awaited favors, the choice of which was surrounded by more than the usual amount of secrecy. The favors were Page 106 |
