Show Hansen, E. Strong, Checketts, Burnett, Dobson, Thompson, Crawford, B. Strong Ladies' Double Quartet The Varsity Double Quartet with Mary Burnett and Myrtle Checketts, first sopranos, Betty Strong and Doris Snyder, second sopranos, Maza Th omson and Margaret Dobson, first altos, Peggy Crawford and Melba Hansen, second altos, and Barbara Strong, accompanist, have been particularly active this year. They presented a complete program at a meeting of the Ladies' Literary Club at the beginning of the year. They were a special feature of the girls' assembly and of the University Mothers' Club tea, and have also presented programs at various schools and churches. String Quartet Th E University String Quartet is chosen by elimination tryouts, and represents the best talent of the University. It is an honor and a distinction to be chosen for this group. The quartet has had a particularly busy year. It has appeared in concerts with the orchestra, and at various other school activities, as well as many social functions. The members have played at many high schools, hospitals, and churches and also presented a concert at Ogden in April.
