Show UTONIAN ... 1934 Hanford, Parkinson, Ross, Larsen Associated Students L3uE to the elimination of the annual Thanksgiving game, the traditional Thanksgiving rally and parade were combined with the homecoming day festivities. An innovation, the pajama parade, was the high spot of homecoming day activities, and was followed by a rally with skits by the various schools of the university rather than by organizations as in former years. The Song Fest, which usually culminates homecoming day activities, was combined with the traditional "U" day celebration. The Thanksgiving dance and New Year's Eve frolic drew the usual hilarious support. The Executive Council has completed a trying year with success that is worthy of the highest commendation. Unusual problems have arisen, and have been met efficiently and decisively. It is with pride that the student body can point to its choice of leaders. The members of the executive council were Jaren Jones, president; Dorothy Hanford, vice president; Jay Parkinson, treasurer; Annie Ross, Secretary, and Rudolph Larsen, second vice president. Page 37 |
