Show . 19 3 4 Publications Council HE Publications Council has fulfilled its many responsibilities carefully and efficiently. It has accomplished this by facing its problems and executive duties in a business-like manner. The most important duty of the Council is the annual selection and appointment of the editors and business managers of the Chronicle, Humbug, Pen, and Utonian. The Council is a representative group, being elected by the student body during its general elections. It consists of two faculty members and three student representatives. Each faculty member is elected for a term of two years, the faculty member serving his second year automatically becomes chairman of the board. Two of the student members hold office for one year, and the other holds office for a two-year term. Sydney W. Angleman was chairman of the Council, which included Gail Plummer, faculty member, Ted Moss, Earl J. Glade, Jr., and Alden Goates, student representatives. Professor J. C. Thomas replaced Professor Angle-man during the last quarter. Wayland Hand served as publicity director, sending information about the University and students throughout the state. It is his duty to write the news of the University for local and out-of-tov/n newspapers. Angleman, Plummer Moss, Goates GI a d e V/jyland Hand, Publicity Director Page 136 |
