Parmelee General Manager IhE office of general manager of student activities was first provided for in the Constitution of the University two years ago due to the pressing need for supervision of campus activities. Parmelee, former secretary to President George Thomas, was chosen to fill the vacancy. The duties of the manager are numerous; he is responsible for the best results attainable in the numerous activities supervised. Among the many duties performed by the manager are: to supervise the student activities, publications, drama, music, and athletics. Until recently the position of manager of athletics was entirely separate from that of manager of activities, but now the one position held by Mr. Parmelee governs all activities. The efforts of Mr. Parmelee have been more than satisfactory to both students and factulty in the past year. He has met every crises with prompt action, and it is greatly to his credit that the student activities have been successful. Page 32 |
