Show George Q. Morris Alumni Association Utah's ai umni Association has been constantly active in serving the university, and its own members. Through the Association, graduates of Utah have been able to watch and assist the growth of their Alma Mater. They have been active in such projects as the Park Memorial, Kingsbury Hall, and the Union Building. Utah's sons and daughters, through alumni activities, have worked in behalf of the university in city councils and legislative assemblies. They have returned to familiar scenes and renewed old friendships at banquets and reunions sponsored by the organization. Alumni work is not always heralded by headlines, but is essential to the growth of the school and the success of graduates. A realization of the importance of this great movement is evidenced by an increase in the life membership. Officers of the past successful year were: George Q. Morris, president; Mrs. Elbert D. Thomas, vice president; Douglas O. Woodruff, executive secretary; Thomas Hull, treasurer; members of the board of control: Dr. George Thomas, ex-officio, Alonzo W. Watson, Geo. M. Cannon, Jr., David W. Moffatt and Adam s. Bennion. Page 34 |
