Initiating the three day affair was the selling of the traditional red and white carnations. This event was closely followed by an assembly on which the Founders' Day Queen, Jackie Winterrose, her two attendants, Marilyn Evans and Mary Javaine, and the winners of the essay and speech contests were presented. The third event was the President's annual reception, "Operation 109."
