Show ItSki TeamThis was the best season that the University's ski team has had in the past five years. During the six meet season, the University team concentrated on the ski slopes of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. It was at the Aspen Christmas Meet that the team made its earliest showing, coming in third. At the regional N.C.A.A. at Gunnison, Colorado, the Redskins took fifth place, and followed this up with a fourth place at the national N.C.A.A.The Utes were paced by the Nation's number two skier, Marvin Melville, who took two national championships, and is a cinch to make the Olympic team. And the outlook is good for next year, since the Ute's have the strongest freshman team in the history of the school.Ute appearances on the slopes ranged from Utah State U to Aspen, Colorado.Ski Team (left to right): bottom row, Bennett Larson, Robert Nelson, Alon Enyen, John Mortenson, Jim Gaddis; comprising the frosh team.
