Its purpose is to band together in departments of speech and drama groups of selected college women interested in maintaining high standards of speech. These women also promote and maintain a better understanding among colleges teaching the speech arts, while building a professional philosophy for women engaged in the speech profession. They also attempt to make the fraternity a professional aid and stimulus after graduation and strive to stimulate and encourage all worthy speech and dramatic enterprises.Tau Beta Sigma, national honorary band sorority, has completed another successful year. Highlighting the year's activities was the initiating of new members, the selection of the "honor pledge," and the awarding of a scholarship to a worthy Freshman woman band student.Bonnie M.
