Il niquit au moi de Janvier del'année 1592. dans un Village proche de Digne, o S dés l'age de quatre ans on le voyoit la nuit contempler avec un attention incroyable la Lune & les Eftoilles. Apré avoir pafl¢ un temps confiderable dans les Difputes de 'Ecole , il fe confacra I'Eftat Ecclefiaftique , Eftat plus tranquille & plus propre 2 vacquer a la Philofophie. Il fut poarveu d'un Canonicat dans la Cathedrale de Digne , & l degr¢ de Docteur luy ayant obtenuune Dignité qui luy fue difputée par plufieur Concurrens, il fut contraint d'aller plaider & 2 Grenoble , & 4 Paris , o fo merite le fic connoiftre & luy fit beaucoup d'Amis.
