Cap was silent for a time as they ran on. Finally he reached to touch Josh's shoulder. "Hey, you ain't no greenhorn, after all. You're fair to make a mountain man yet, Josh." Without answering, Josh O'Tosh ran on. Although he kept glancing back over his shoulder, there was a warm feeling in his stomach in place of the knotted fear that had been there earlier. Alone, without Cap Mullins there by him, he had stopped the Blazer. |
