Show 77 "Never mind the gold," Josh called. "Let's go." "Whew! We can't leave this," Cap whistled as he peered into the bag. He tried to lift it by the leather strap, grunting as he hefted it to his knees. "Come on, grab on." "Too heavy. Ohh please, Cap, let's go." But Cap came struggling through the doorway with the gold, barely able to carry it. "Oh for cat's sake," Josh said, running back to grab one end of the leather handle. With the canvas bag bumping along between them, they then humped for the creek bottom to be out of sight. At the other end of the meadow, they could see Detective Rollins waving his arms into the sky. |
