Penny put the receiver back onto the telephone, then turned to ViCky and Maddie, who had big smiles on their faces, and said. "I'm starving. What's for breakfast?" Then her face lit up and she cried out in a jubilant voice. "It's going to be a beautiful day today, isn't it? In fact, there will be many, many beautiful days at Gaven House from now on! Like a flash, she ran for the kitchen, with Dixie bark-estatically at her heels. |
