Shanklin, et ux. ) to ) The California Development Company ) This indenture made this sixteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, between James W. Shanklin and Adeline S. Shanklin, his wife, of the County of Alameda, State of California, the parties of the first part, and The California Development Company, a corporation duly incorporated, organized and existing under the laws of the State of New Jersey, the party of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Thousand ($7000.) Dollars, Gold Coin of the United States of America, to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, and to its successors and assigns forever, one undivided one-half of all those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land situate- lying and being in the County of San Diego, State of California, and bounded and particularly described as follows, to-wit: Lots three (3) and four (4) of section twenty-five (25); the south-east quarter of the south-east quarter of section twenty-six (26); lots one (1), two (2) and three (3), the north-west quarter of north-east quarter; and |
