Show -3- thence S. 57° E. 200 ft., along the line of the garden fence to the Colorado river, thence N. 33° E. along the bank of said river 150 ft., thence N. 57° W. 376 ft., thence S. 33° W. 150 ft., to point of beginning. The party of the first part reserves a right to build a canal through said land. In witness whereof the parties to this contract for lease have hereunto set their hands and seals on the date above written. (Signed) Hall Hanlon (L.S.) H. W. Blaisdel Agent (L.S.) and This Indenture, made the........day of May, 1895, by and between Hall Hanlon, the party of the first part, and the Golden Cross Mining and Milling Company a corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of California, the party of the second part. Witnesseth: That the party of the first part, of San Diego County, State of California, lessor, does hereby lease, remise and let unto the party of the second part of Los Angeles County, State of California, lessee, the following described real estate, to-wit: That part or parcel of land marked by stakes, containing Five acres, more or less, and more particularly described as follows, to wit:- Beginning at the N. E. corner of Sec. 35, Township 16 S. of Range 21 East, S. B. Meridian, Thence running West Five (5) chains, Thence South Two (2) chains to N. E. cor. of the land above mentioned, Thence running West Ten (10) chains, Thence South Five (5) chains, Thence East Ten (10) chains, Thence North (5) chains to the point of beginning at the N. E. corner as aforesaid, containing Five (5) acres. |
