Show To have and to hold for the term of Ninety nine (99) years, to wit: from the........day of May, 1895, to the........ day of May, 1994. The consideration thereof is the sum of seventy-two (72) Dollars this day paid by the party of the second part to the party of the first part in cash, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged upon the execution and delivery of this instrument. The purpose for which this lease is made is to establish and place upon the said above described lands a pumping plant, engines, pumps, wells, boilers and all machinery and appliance necessary for said pumping plant, and also for the purpose of establishing a wood yard, and for such other purposes as may be necessary and convenient for the party of the second part, in carrying on its business. The party of the second part to have the right of way across the lands of the party of the first part, the lessor herein, for a pipe line to convey water from said leased ground. As part consideration for this lease the party of the second part, the lessee, hereby agrees to purchase wood from the party of the first part, the lessor, for the use of its furnaces of said pumping station from time to time as the same may be agreeable to both parties, and at the same price per cord as the said lessee may be paying to other parties for wood at the same time. The party of the second part agrees to cover its pipe line along the right of way across the lands of the said party of the first part so as to keep it underground a sufficient depth that it may not prove an obstruction in the cultivation of lands of the party of the first part, or of his heirs, assigns, and legal representatives. |
