Show CALIFORNIA DEFENDANTS Exhibit No. 81 Identification: Feb. 14, 1957 Admitted: May 6, 1957 Water Notice July 24/1897 To Whom it May Concern, Notice is hererby given that W. T. Heffernan, a citizen of the United States and of the State of California, do for myself and others claim ten thousand (10000) cubic feet per second of the water of the Colorado River flowing by this intended point of diversion. This intended point of diversion being located on the S. W. 54 of Section 25, Tp. 16, S., R. 21 E., of San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and being further described as a point or location on the west bank of the Colorado River in San Diego County, State of California, one and one quarter miles more or less up the river from the point where the International line between the United States and Mexico intersects the west bank of the Colorado River. The said point of diversion is more specifically described as extending from a point due west of the pumping plant of the Paymaster Mining Company up the Colorado River a distance of 500 feet more or less to a hill. I claim the right to the said ten thousand (10,000) cubic feet per second for the purpose of developing power and for the irrigation of land in San Diego County, California, and in Lower California, Republic of Mexico.
