Show 5421 Yokey- C 3432 A Yes sir, came back as far as his residence at River-side, is all. Q Have any trouble coming up the river on the Wilmont? A We hit a couple of times; didn't have no trouble; got off in a short time. Q Have you found any serious difficulty, Captain Yokey, from the sandbars or from any other cause in operating boats on the Green river? MR. BLACKMAR: I object to that question unless what he means by serious difficulty is defined. It is per-fectly evident from the testimony in this case what some of these gentlemen call mere trifles would be to another person a serious difficulty. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I think you better re- phrase your question. Did you find any difficulties, and if so, what they are. I think the court has to decide whether the difficulties are serious or not. The witness has described, in answer to Mr. Blackmar, all the difficulties he has found. I suppose the court will decide whether that is serious. MR. FARNSWORTH: I will withdraw the question. |
