Q By " flood seasons", what seasons do you mean? A The summer. Q As I understand, you have a flood every year from the snow water? A No, it is the rain -- well, both, as far as that goes. Q Do you have more sand and sediment during the spring run- off or less than you do during the floods? A I think it is more during the floods, but they don't last so long. Q Have you been in the river swimming when you have observed these sand waves? A Yes sir. Q Just tell us about that, please. A Why, where the river gets a straight run, where it will run straight for quite a distance -- Q What do you mean by quite a distance? A Maybe for two or three hundred yards.
