Show 5424 Yokey- C 3435 seen asked hundreds of times, and I think without successful objection. In fact, I don't think I have had it objected to. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I don't know that I thoroughly understand the basis of your objection, Mr. Blackmar. The mere fact it doesn't appear there was any place to land passengers or freight doesn't seem to me to have much perti-nency to the question. What is the objection to the question? On what do you base the objection? MR. BLACKMAR: It is a matter of pure speculation. Every question which is propounded to a witness is supposed to be propounded on the basis that it furnishes some evidence that might ultimately help a court in deciding the question. If Mr. Yokey should answer this question and say, " I would take a contract to do that if anybody would pay me enough," how does that help the ultimate question? It is purely a matter of speculation, and does not contribute one thing to the evidence in this case. MR. FARNSWORTH: I intend to follow this question with another question. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I suppose one of the questions ultimately to be decided is the potentiality of these rivers for commercial use.
