Show 5379 Kirkpatrick- D 3390 Reclamation Service or Geological Survey. Q You don't know whether the Geological Survey has meandered all of the Colorado river that your Department has not meandered? A They have made a survey down there. I thought you referred to what we term meander surveys in connection with our public survey system. THE SPECIAL MASTER: That is what you were referring to, meander surveys? MR. FARNSWORTH: Yes. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q And in that survey was not the river meandered? A You mean in the Geological Survey? Q Yes. A Not according to our system, as I understand it. Q Were not the mean high water lines on the rivers on each side surveyed and located and fixed by that Geologic Survey? A The geologic Survey map is a topographic map of the rivers, but my understanding they made no attempt to fix the meander line except to show the contours, which, of course, would be above and below the meander line. |
