Q Do you recall a boat which was formerly on the river called the Dispatch? A Yes sir. Q Do you know where the Dispatch is now? A Yes sir. Q What became of it? A It broke loose from its moorings and was sunk at the railroad bridge. Q Do you know what became of the Marguerite? A I saw the Marguerite in the sand; I don't know where it is now, whether it is buried in the sand; the last time I saw it, it was half- full of sand, above the wagon bridge at Greenriver on the west side. Q Can you tell me approximately how long ago that was? A No, I don't believe I could; I couldn't tell you the date or the year. Q Were you on this first trip with the Cliff Dweller? A I have been on the Cliff Dweller, but not very far below the bridge, not more than a mile and a half below the bridge; started out on a pleasure trip and came back, moored |
