A He pulled in to the bank, to the west bank at Little valley, at what is known as -- or was known then as the Henry Halverson ranch. Q Do you know a place there known as the Halverson riffle or bar? A I know a riffle that used to be called the Auger; I don't know whether that is the Henry Halverson. Q Did the boat stop at the Auger? A No sir, it stopped before it got there; the Auger is above. Q Which one of Mr. Wolverton's boats was this, if you recall? A The boat I came up on? Q Yes. A If it had a name, I couldn't tell you. Q Was it a power boat? A It was a motor boat, had a motor in it. Q And in going down stream did you have any difficulty with sandbars? A I didn't go down stream on this boat; I went overland from Greenriver to the Wolverton ranch, and from the Wolverton ranch on a Sunday morning we went down in a row boat, about five miles down, to what is known as Three Forks canyon, just on a |
