Show 5328 Kendrick- D 3339 A I did once. Q In a row boat? A Yes sir. Q From where to what point did you go? A From his ranch down the river to what they call Three Canyons, I believe, -- about four or five miles. Q Where is Three Canyons? A About four or five miles below Mr. Wolverton's ranch. Q Who operated the boat? A Mr. Wolverton. Q Did you encounter any difficulties with sandbars or other obstructions in the river? A No, I don't think we did. Q Do you recall whether or not Mr. Wolverton had at any time to get out and push the boat off? MR. BLACKMAR: We object to that. The witness has said he recalls no trouble. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I think that is rather leading. MR. BLACKMAR: It is, but I want to refresh his recollection on that. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q For the purpose of refreshing your recollection, I will ask you if, on that trip, Mr. Wolverton did not at times have to get out and push the boat off the sandbars? A No, I don't think so. |
