Show 5295 Chaffin- D 3306 spring raise commenced, always a channel. My experience, after the river raises in the spring -- got a raise along the latter part of March -- then you could figure you could go down the river if you found the right place to go. After the raise, there is no place, as far as water was concerned, on these mud places, you couldn't find a channel through somewhere. Q Take during; the months of March April, would you fine any change from time to time in the channel? A Yes, always. Q How frequently would those changes occur? A Every time the water raised or dropped a little bit, even a few inches. Q Could that be generalized by saying every raise or fall of the water brought about a rearrangement of the sandbars? A Yes sir. Q Accompanied also by change in the channel? A Not the main channel, not in the gravel bars, but in the sandbars in the still water. Q You bad a different condition when you had a section of the river where you had mostly gravel bars and a section where you had sandbars? MR. FARNSWORTH: We object to that as argumentative. |
