This species is of the same size and general colour as the preceding, but differs in the nearly straight instead of distinctly dentate-sinuate dark green lines across the wings and in the uniformly vinous-coloured fringes. HYBL^EIDJE. The position of this family is somewhat doubtful; the aspect the species forcibly reminds one of the Tortrices, but the neuration does not altogether correspond with that of the Tortricidce; at the same time the Hyblceidce do not appear to be true Noctuites.
