Show Committee Chairmen for Union committees were (row 1) Chuck Ensign, Sue Clark, Nancy Nortz, Kate Kirkham, chairman, Maryruth Bracy, Tom Higham, Patricia Embry, (row 2) Jill Richards, Marilynn McKain, Wallace Shiverdecker, Jim Chadwick, Terry Newfarmer, Jeff McNemar, Brian Swinton, Charlotte Gray, Lezlee Taylor, Michael Hatch and Neale Roth, advisor.PROGRAM COUNCILMuch of the extra-curricular activity at the University centered around the Union. Program Council members, who served as chairmen of the Union committees, worked to coordinate the events which took place in the Union. During Welcome Week, Program Council sponsored tours of the Union to acquaint freshmen with possible Union activities. Another project was J-Day, when major campus organizations set up booths to offer information and an opportunity to join. Not only committees, but publications staffs, the debate team, and many other groups participated.153 |
