Show TONIAH Vere "Champ" Champion Halfback I Karl Hardy Guard Utah-Colorado College the white line for Utah's first tally. Taufer failed in the attempt for the extra point. Then it was that Champion, who had been warming the bench, was sent into the fray. He acquitted himself nobly, for after a clever run of 30-yards through the entire gray team, he made victory secure by planting himself and the pigskin across the goal line. Thus was Utah's most brilliant victory of the season brought to a glorious close. Most of the people concerned were taking the following week's battle rather lightly, but Ike Armstrong heaved a big sigh when Utah gained a 28 to 0 decision over the Blue team of Young University. The high lights in this engagement were the brilliant aerial attack of the Utes, and the running of the fast backs, especially noteworthy in this department being Lee Richards. Colorado College had previously been repulsed by Coach Robert's proteges, consequently they were bubbling over with confidence that they would hold Utah in check, but they were entirely outclassed in nearly every department of the game. Dixon and Howard played well for Young, while the whole Crimson eleven performed in an excellent fashion. Then the local fans witnessed the home eleven in action for the second contest of the season, against the Denver Ministers.
