The Joslyn Art Museum holds an oil painting, executed by Maximilian's brother Charles, that portrays Maximilian, Charles, and Maximilian's retainer David Dridoppel. The setting of this 1840 painting was the Wied family estate near Coblenz. Sketches, prints, and photographs of Bodmer include a 1850 pencil sketch by Jean Frangois Millet (private collection; reproduction held by New York Public Library); a sketch by Loys Delteil (Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris); an 1893 etching by Delteil (The Joslyn Art Museum); and a photograph reproduced in Rene Delorme's Galerie contemporaine literaire artistique (Paris: Ludovic Baschet, 1879). 26.
