Show JOHN P. AND MATILDA A. PEH.RSON Pehrson, an immigrant from Malmo, Sweden arrived in West Jordan (Midvale) in 1876. He was welcomed by the Pehr Hakanson family. He ob tained employment in the Alta mining area of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Matilda married Joseph Pierson in 1902 and they had six children: Luella, James, Maurie, Ina, Margaret and Floris.
