Show 12 1 (b) The United States, its permittees, licensees, and 2 oontractees, and all usery and appropriators of water stored, 8 diverted, carried, and/or distributed by the reservoir, canals, 4 and other works herein authorized, shall observe and be 5 subject to and controlled by said Colorado River compact 6 in the construction, management, and operation of said 7 reservoir, canals, and other works and the storage, diver- 3 sion, delivery, and use of water for the generation of power, 9 irrigation, and other purposes, anything in this Act to the 10 contrary notwithstanding, and all permits, licenses, and con- 11 tracts shall so provide. 12 (c) Also the United States, in constructing, managing, 18 and operating the dam, reservoir, canals, and other works 14 herein authorized, including the .appropriation, delivery, and 15 use of water for the generation of power, irrigation, or 13 other uses, and all users of water thus delivered and all 17 users and appropriators of waters stored by said reservoir lg and/or carried by said canal, including all permittees and 19 licensees of the United States or any of its agencies, shall 20 observe and be subject to and controlled, anything to the 21 contrary herein notwithstanding, by the terms of such oom- 22 pact, if any, between the States of Arizona, California, and 23 Nevada, or any two thereof, for the equitable division of the 24 benefits, including power, arising from the use of water accru- 25 ing to said States, subsidiary to and consistent with said Colo- |
