Show 4 1 (e) The Secretary of the Interior shall certify to the 2 Secretary of the Treasury, at the close of each fiscal year, 8 the amount of money in the fund in excess of the amount 4 necessary for construction, operation, and maintenance, and 5 payment of interest. Upon receipt of each such certificate, 6 the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to 7 charge the fund with the amount so certified as repayment of 8 the advances made under subdivision (b), which amount shall 0 be covered into the Treasury to the credit of miscellaneous 10 receipts, and shall be available for the purposes specified in 11 subdivision (g). 12 (f) In order to make the advances to the fund, the 13 Secretary of the Treasury may, if he deems it advisable, 14 exercise the authority granted by the various Liberty Bond 1«> Acts and the Victor}' Liberty Loan Act, as amended and 1ft supplemented, to issue bonds, notes, and certificates of 17 indebtedness of the United States; and any bonds so issued IB shall be disregarded in computing the maximum amount of Ifl bonds authorized by section 1 of the Second Liberty Bond 20 Act, as amended. 21 (g) The Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and 22 directed to use, upon such terms and conditions as he may Si prescribe, for the payment, redemption, or purchase, at not 24 to exceed par and accrued interest, of any bonds, notes, or 25 certificates of indebtedness of the United States, the money |
