Show INTERVIEW: Sierra Page 54 things that we get involved in. I don't see how they can say that they're not aware of us. For instapce, we have the national veterans G. I. Forum Veterans <Altrea,ch Program going right now and I don't see how anybody in the San Jose east side for instance couldn't be aware of the fact that we're there. Because we have a building there in East San Jose, we have a big sign out in front, big six by eight sign in big foot high letters, "American G.I. Forum". We've been there for twelve years. But the Anglo community, also people, are aware of us. I think that our G.I. Forum newspaper some 6f the things that we have, we have put in there, I become aware of a lot of people who are aware of the G.I. Forum who I didn 1 t know were there. You get letters once in awhile from somebody, 'Gee, I didn't .~ know he was aware that we existed,' but they do, they are aware. GC Did you say a little while ago you said that you didn't know exactly how the G.I. Forum got started in Santa Clara County? DS No, I didn't. GC But you seem to know, for example, Bob Rodriguez. Now do you think, maybe that integration got started. . I mean where would you say some of the leaders of the San Jose Forum are from?
