Show 3449 Lint- D 1472 A Well, it took time to pick a channel where there was enough water to float the boat through without getting stuck; have to get out and wade around, locate the channel. The main thing there was sand waves we had to watch out for, not to get caught in them with this load. Q Do you recall what day you came out of the river? A It was approximately the 10th of September, I would say. Q What did you do with your boat? A We left it there for Mr Wimmer to haul supplies down to the parties below, as I remember it. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Where would he get the supplies? A They were hauled in by truck from Salina, Utah, and from the point where the truck was left they were hauled in by wagon down Bull Frog creek to its mouth. Q Then Mr. Wimmer was going to take those supplies further down the river? A Yes sir. There was also another party in there at that time, the Coast Survey was working down the river. BY MR.
