Show 3444 Lint- D 1467 A Weiser, Idaho, is my home; and up until a few days ago I was topographic engineer with the U. S. Geological Survey. Q As I understand it, you are entering college up there? A Yes sir. Q What institution is that? A University of Idaho at Moscow. Q How much experience have you had in life as a boatman? A Four seasons. Q And on what rivers? A The Snake river, two seasons on the Green river, one on the Colorado river. Q You grew up on the Snake river? A Yes sir. Q And have you been accustomed to handling boats since you were a boy? A Yes sir. Q When was your first trip on the Green river? A 1921. Q And from what point did you start on the Green river? A Greenriver, Utah. Q And where did that trip go? A Well, the first part of the trip was overland, and we hit the Colorado river at the mouth of the Freemont river; then a boat was brought in by wagon, by way of North wash, and we used this boat as far as Bull Frog creek; we went out around |
