Show 3433 Nims- C 1458 BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Mr. Nims, I am going to hand you a few of these pictures and ask you to identify the place shown in each, if you are able to do it. First I show you Complainant's Exhibit No. 178. A That is in Cataract canyon; I can't tell just where it was; I don't remember about that. Q Are you sure that is not at the junction of the Green and the Grand rivers? I ask you that merely because Mr. Hoyt-- A If it is, it is right below; it doesn't show the junction, that I see. Q Now 179. Where is that picture taken? A That was of the Green. Q About what point, how far below Greenriver, Utah, or above the mouth of the Green, would you say it was? A Well, it is the upper part of Labyrinth. This ( indicating) is what we called the Mountain of the Gross. Q 180, where was that taken? A That was taken in Cataract canyon. Q That is between some of the cataracts? A Yes. Q Between these Cataracts there is a great deal of quiet water? A No, it is not quiet. Q Well, that fairly represents the water, doesn't it, shown in this Exhibit 180? |
