A I didn't notice that; I don't remember. Q Then in coming down North wash did you just follow the bottom of the wash down? A Yes. Q I think you remarked yesterday, in coming down two of your horses were drowned? A Yes. Q It was a pretty bad road, wasn't it? A Yes sir. Q I am not sure about this, at all, Mr. Nims, I am not sure of my recollection, so I want to ask you. Didn't you say that on one occasion in going out you went to Milford, took the train at Milford? A That was on the first trip, the first expedition. Q You got out of the canyon about how far below Lee's Ferry on that occasion? A About forty- five miles. Q And made your way across to the main- traveled road? A Yes sir. Q That was the road between Utah and Arizona that crossed the river at Lees Ferry? A Yes. |
